Performance day tomorrow!
We had such a solid day of running through our set list!
All your kids have homework tonight, though for sure!
•Review lyrics and vocally run through with️ instrumental tracks
•Review choreography videos
•Practicing facial expressions as you sing in front of a mirror
•Pick out a cute performance outfit. Again if your child wears a dress or skirt wear shorts under. Sneakers or boots only! Make up and fun hairstyles is totally welcome but not required.
Drop off tomorrow is at 9am at the Salvation Army in Sanford 700 W 24th Street Sanford.
There will be NO microwave or refrigerator tomorrow. Plan lunch accordingly.
Performance starts at 3pm. — Tickets for quick entry can be found at https://buytickets.at/lochwoodacademy/2251170
If your child has had a blast this week, we have another camp next week! Our next camp is Finding Nemo The Musical. It’s a bit different but includes the fun of singing and dancing with acting, sets and props. Your child would learn a 30 minute musical in 5 days and perform next Saturday. We have 5 spots left! If that’s something you’re interested in, just let Mindy know!
See you all in the AM!

Wednesday - June 10
Pop Star families we had such a good third day!
We completed learning our whole set list for Friday’s performance. The kids are so excited to share what they’ve learned for you!
Homework tonight:
•Review all songs vocally •Practice any choreography in the resource videos. (www.lochwood.info/popstarcamp)
Tomorrow will be a big review day but we’ll have more down time in between set reviews. So more time for crafts and games.
Some of the girls were asking what to wear Friday for their performance. Have them come in an outfit that makes them feel fierce and embrace their inner pop star. They can do fun hairstyles and wear makeup or glitter if they want but it’s not required. All I ask is that they wear sneakers or boots that are danceable in and if they wear a dress or skirt they need to wear shorts underneath.
See you all in the AM!

Monday - June 8
Hi Pop Star Camp Families!
We had such a great first day! Your girls were confident and fierce today. We learned Debut by Katseye and How It’s Done by HUNT/RX. Tomorrow we will learn two more songs and review the ones we learned today. So homework tonight is to just go over what was learned today. You will find two choreography videos for the kids to review. In How It’s Done the choreo being done by my assistant and I when we are behind the front line is what all our other campers not seen in the video do. I’d say have them spend 15 to 20 mins just reviewing and learning the lyrics tonight. We can’t wait for another great day tomorrow!
Just a quick note as we keep going into the week. We know sicknesses and allergies can happen as we go through camp. We just ask if your child has fevers or flu like symptoms that they stay home. If it’s just a cough & sniffles just remind your child to keep distance from myself & friends or they can wear a mask.
My youngest is currently in the waiting process for heart surgery next month and it’s important I don’t bring any sicknesses home to him or it could push back his surgery. We hope this isn’t an inconvenience and appreciate your carefulness.
See you all in the morning!
