Day 3 was a SMASH!

I don’t know how we did it but by 12:30pm today we had our whole show blocked!

Your kids got two full run throughs with props in it. We are so stinking proud of them!

Also their Headshots and Cast photos turned out super cute! We will get them to you after Friday.

Tomorrow will be a big day again for them but in a different way.

They will NOT be allowed to use their scripts during run throughs and will not have guide vocal tracks. That being said, it is imperative that they run through lines, blocking, choreography, songs, and quick changes tonight. We’d suggest at least 30 to 60mins of practice. Reminder if they have quick changes they need to wear their black bases as we don’t have a private dressing room. So have them practice with their black base, adding and taking off their costume pieces.

What to bring tomorrow :

• Costume

• Lunch

• Good vibes

• A plastic trash bag or grocery bag that we can put their costume and props in to take to the performance location Friday morning.

Hair and Make up for Friday

• Who, Fish, Jungle Citizen Girls - They should have light show make up on and a cute Hairstyle that keeps their hair out of their face.

• Boys can put mascara on to enhance their eyes as most male performers do. It’s not required though, as we know that can be an uncomfortable for them. If they want to wear hair gel and style their hair they can.

• Mayzie-a cute half up hair style or super high pony. Full blown show make up, bright red or pink lipstick

• Gertrude-funky light show make up. High pig tails

• Sour Kangaroo and Young Kangaroo-Space buns and light show make up. Drawn on black nose and black whiskers

• Wickersham girls - 2 French braids or normal braids and light show make up

• Horton -Light show make up(no lip stick)

• Cat -Light show make up drawn on black nose and whiskers, braids in low pig tails

• Mrs Mayor - light show make up and red lipstick bright blush on tip of nose and cheeks to give Classic WHO look

• Mr. mayor - bright blush on cheeks and nose to give Classic WHO look

• JoJo- bright blush on cheeks and nose to give Classic WHO look

Wowzers Day 2 was a lot!

Your kids powered through and gave their all though. Mr. Justus and I are so impressed by their work ethic!

• Tomorrow AM (Wednesday) your kids will be taking their headshots & cast photo for our cast board. Please make sure they are picture ready in the morning.

Wednesday will be our most challenging day. We have hopes to finish blocking the whole show tomorrow. With that being said make sure your child eats a big nutritious breakfast and avoid packing any candy or items that will give them a sugar crash, as we want them to be able to keep their energy up.

Reminders for Friday

Westview Baptist Church — 4100 HE Thomas Jr Pkwy, Sanford
Drop off at 9am, they will stay till after the performance.
We will not have a microwave or fridge for lunch boxes. Make sure to plan accordingly.

Day 1 was such a succcess!

We blocked all the way to page 20.

Your kids worked so hard and we can’t wait for a strong day 2 tomorrow!

Homework tonight:

• Begin to memorize. Your kids have all their parts highlighted. They can listen to all the song tracks here and view choreography here: www.lochwood.info/seussicalkids They will need to be off book by Thursday morning. 

• Please review the costume list below this letter with your child so you can begin collecting your child’s costume. If you have any questions feel free to text or ask us tomorrow.

As we do have the majority of our Props and Sets being built we are in need of:

• 2 bags of cotton balls

• Fake Autumn Leaves and branches

• A stuffed animal elephant that you don’t mind feathers getting glued to it

• Giant plastic Easter egg that opens, that we can paint or use permanent marker on

Let us know if you can provide any of these. We’d need them all latest Wednesday Morning
